My son graduated high school last night. He will return to vocational school for 1 - 2 days a week while working. Then he will go to a diesel school in either Ohio or PA. My daughter has 2 more years of high school and she is preparing for medical school. She most likely do an internship with a doctor in Atlanta this summer doing research. This should help her get into a good college.

The light at the end of the tunnel grows brighter....

I think that tunnel light is 10 years from now if everything falls in line. But it is a light!

You're supposed to be retired enjoying a well deserved vacation.

I'm semi-retired, working 3 -4 days a week as a substitute teacher. It is getting to be more of a headache but I'm now also working for the vocational schools which gives me more variety and a better pay. One school that I like is Academy for Law and Public Safety (ALPS), the students stand at attention beside their desk until you tell the "at ease" and let them sit. They seem very driven and don't want to bring attention to themselves. Another school I go to - Performing Arts, is in the blimp hangar at Lakehurst Naval Air Station. The Hindenberg blew up just outside of the hangar. It is huge and the school is built inside and is still tiny compared to the hangar.
