I have completed 180 days of not working and now according to the States Pension Board I can once again go back to be a substitute teacher. Problem is they changed the rules in the meantime and now I can only work 25 hours a week. The school district tells me they will contact the State and see if they can get a waiver as they need more help.

Its amazing how the game always favors them. If it doesn't, they change the rules.

Good luck. Hopefully you get to work as much as to can and make some money and this time they don't find some other issue to screw you over with.

I called the State yesterday to confirm I was good to go, but they don't know what their talking about. At least they record all calls and like the last time I kept a written note of the discussion.
The weird part is the amount of hours I can work, not how much I can earn. There is a salary cap but even working 5 days a week I would just hit it working everyday.
Stupid Government!

Today I called the School District to find out why I wasn't yet working since the School Board met over a week ago.
It seems the state took too long to send back that my finger prints are good, missed the meeting by day.
Now I have to wait until the next School Board meeting in mid February. AHHHHHHH!!!!!!

They are run by the same people that are hiding Hillary's emails. Snow caused the latest delay there, before it even started snowing.

Another true story, UPS Freight was a day late making a pickup here at the office in Dallas because......

wait for it..........

The huge snow storm on the east coast.

It was sunny and 60 here.

I finally received the approval from the local school board. I go back to work tomorrow at 6:30. I'm allowed to work 3 days a week per State Pension rules. I guess all weekends will be 4 day weekends.

Could be worse, you could be desperate for work and having to work 40+ hours. At least now you get some off time to enjoy.

The job isn't bad, in every class there were students that remember me from last year, plus I had an Aide in every class. Problem is all the teachers remember me and call me by name but while I recognize them I only remember a few names. Off to the middle school Friday to teach 7th grade science.

How do you guys get out of bed so early, I'm lucky I didn't fall asleep last period lol ? But I'm off by 1:35.
