When you think of drift cars, typically high-powered domestics, LS-swapped Nissan 240 SXs, and late ’90s Toyota Supras come to mind. Put those same cars on a dirt course and their street-and-track–oriented underpinnings show their limitations. Race driver Vaughn Gittin Jr. wanted a hoonable vehicle for both the track and the dirt and started with the new 2015 Ford F-150 as the basis. Dubbed the “Ultimate Funhaver,” the truck combines off-the-shelf and custom parts for having a blast on dirt or track.

Built by Kibbetech in Southern California, the truck has an unusually low-to-the-ground stance for driving around the track, but it is ready to play in the dirt in seconds thanks to a custom AirLift airbag suspension. Shocks are King dual bypass front and triple-bypass shocks in the rear. While hooning around solo is fun, it’s more fun with some friends along. To facilitate group hoonage, the Funhaver features five Recaro race seats with Takata harnesses. To make the big truck flingable, an ASD hand brake helps kick out the rearend on-demand. Tires are 35-inch Nitto Terra Grappler G2s on 18-inch RTR wheels.

The engine is mostly stock 3.5L EcoBoost V-6, with a K&N intake, Magnaflow custom exhaust, and Revolution Automotive custom tune. Power hits the pavement through a Currie full-floating rear axle. You can check out all the hoontastic fun in the video below.
