PostSubject: Ideas...   September 5th 2015, 10:06 am

Just looking for any ideas to boost traffic here. We have a few regular users who keep the site rolling, but for the most part, it's pretty slow going. I'm open to any and all suggestions. The old PUTC Forums had more older users who pop in here every now and again, but have either moved on to a different site, or simply have bigger and better things to do in their lives now. Regardless, I would like everyone's input if possible.

Keep in mind, no one controls this site (for the most part), but us. We can evolve if we need to.

Also, we haven't had much need as of yet, but if anyone else is interested in moderating here, please let me know.

Thanks.

I've been thinking the same thing, there has got to be a better way for people to know we are here. I usually find sites when I looking for something that needs to be repaired or am researching for a purchase.

I wish!

Unfortunately we would have to become a full fledged web site for that, and get the manufacturers to allow us to use (and abuse) their vehicles. It would take a lot more time, effort and investment than what any of us (likely) could possibly afford. Not to mention recruiting a bonified automotive journalist. Great thought though!

Steal!

I have been thinking of this very issue but you are correct, we cant do our own original article. So we need to be constantly posting links to good articles from other sites. Kind of the reverse of all roads lead to us, unless you're driving in reverse.

Oh and I used to be on a truck site that did the nekked woman thing, it did drive up traffic. There was plenty of talk about plowing and traveling peaks but not much about pickups.

Is it politically correct to say naked women, or do we have to say women without cloths?

Mike isnt coming here. He is busy with his Ford duties and I am sure his contract makes sure he can only be connecting to Ford.

I haven't talked to him since Christmas last year. His commute to NYC and working on his parents house take up at lot of his time, and he does have a family.
