Looking at a 2008 Chevy Duramax with 200K on it.
At idle and low RPM the pressure runs under the 30psi mark and at speed it runs just under 60 PSI.

What pressures are you Dmax owners seeing?

My '02 LB7 would idle in 100 heat around 20 psi. Upon acceleration it would jump up to 60' ish PSI. In the winter, upon startup it would peg the gauge at 80 psi. Idle PSI stabilized once operating temperature was achieved.

My perception was there was a significant delta between idle PSI and 2000 RPM or above. Just seemed to be a characteristic of the engine.

That is typical for the DuraMax. My only concern at 200K would be the injectors. I don't think replacing them is as bad as when it was first introduced. BamBam would be helpful as he is driving a Duramax.

Does the electronic shift transfercase behind the Allison suffer from "pump rub"?

I'm not as concerned about the injectors as if it was a '01-04 for ease of replacement and all pre-'07 built prior to ULSD. I'd be more concerned about soot build up from the EGR system.

The truck is a 2008 K3500 SRW, white, with 200K on it. Cloth interior, had a plow and 5th wheel hitch. At a new car dealer, fresh trade, no work done other than cleaning.
$11,000.

Body and interior is cleaner on my current truck.

By 2008 model, the condition was corrected. I put a pump rub kit from Merchant Automotive for my diesel, but never put anything in the 2002 Suburban with the same condition.
