Watch a North Carolina Sheriff Cause a Rear-End Crash on Purpose and Then Drive Away!

CarScoops wrote:
All state and local law enforcement officers are sworn to "protect and serve" the public with the highest standard of conduct and professionalism, but unfortunately, that's not always the case.

For instance, take this Onslow County Sheriff's Deputy in car No. 145 that was marked as a K-9 unit. South Carolina resident Chad Walton was filming the deputy driving in front of him on the left side of the road going the same speed as a Volvo XC90 in the middle lane.

According to Walton, the officer was holding up traffic by going 50 mph in the fast line, when the speed limit was 60mph . To move ahead of the deputy's car, Walton went around the Swedish SUV and re-entered the fast lane.

Yet another example of why one should consider a dash cam.

Dash cam would be a good idea.

That's a jerk cop. He would cost taxpayers a lot of money during his career. Hopefully he's at least put on probation with a psych consultation.

I bet he abused his k-9 too.

The power of the internet. It brings down governments, leaders, bad cops. If only we could get rid of bad politicians.

I love this part of the article:

Quote :
The officer was identified by WWAY3 News from the South Carolina accident report. Culpepper told WWAY3
that he was baited by Walton, who rode up behind him and flashed his
lights at him before the beginning of the now-viral video, currently at 267,183 views.

"I fell for it hook, line and sinker," stated Culpepper.

WWAY3
reports that South Carolina police are familiar with Walton, who has a
reputation among them for baiting cops into bad situations on video.
Walton only has one video uploaded to YouTube, so we cannot see if he's had any other run-ins with the police.

If Officer Culpepper can be "baited" into a "bad situation", then that just goes to show he doesn't have the maturity and good character necessary for the job. And, perhaps Mr. Walton, as a tax-paying citizen, is sick and f'ing tired of immature asshole cops like Ossifer Culpecker, hence the reason he "has a reputation among them for baiting cops into bad situations". Act like you're a defender of the law, rather than an offender, and you won't have run-ins with citizens like Mr. Walton.
Enjoy civilian life down here with us peons, Culpecker!!

He was not baited his cop ego was hurt , if he did not feel like going the speed limit he should have moved over to the right .

The reality is the cop is an idiot, plain and simple. There is no way to rationalize his behavior. IMHO, charges should be filed against him at the very least for reckless endangerment and serve the maximum sentenence. If ther is a greater punishment for citizens committing crimes against cops, the converse should be true also for cops committing crimes against civilians !
