PostSubject: Stock Market Downturn?   Stock Market Downturn? EmptyJune 29th 2015, 11:13 pm

Wow, the world economy is looking a bleak with a Chinese recession, Greek default, and now a pending bankruptcy in Puerto Rico. All this after trillions spent to prop up these markets.

The Chinese tried lowering interest rates again but no one is buying the house of cards.

And the US stock market is near all time highs but refuses to go higher even though interest rates are near all time lows and oil prices are down? There's obvious signs of a slow-down. The transportation index is dropping like a fly and there's no strong market leaders. I have a bad feeling our markets will soon drop hard.

Once US banks and financial institutions stutter, Yellen will try to pull a rabbit out of the hat once again at more cost to future generations.

The markets arent getting any higher now bc interest rates have been at 0% for years now, that boost has long since faded and is now a drag. Oil prices have been slowly going up after a large and fast drop. All those jobs have vanished and if Iran is allowed to sell on the open market again, it will keep prices low. Which is a good thing but even with these low prices we have had, the economy hasnt been getting on any firmer ground.

Im surprised we have been as well as we have for as long as we have. The one good thing of all these issues is that the US debt is sold are at low interest which makes our debt easier to manage. When that starts to change, the shat will fly. You think Cyprus, Greek or P.R. debt is causing issues, wait until $18T+ looks to be in default and cuts actually do start happening here, the token cuts over the last few years were nothing. We cant afford all the debt we have created. The IMF, OMB, economist world wide all say our debt is unsustainable. The only people saying otherwise are the ones spending it.

Yep, I hope this drop isn't 2007 on steroids. Some say 2007 was a depression.

There was never a true recovery since '08.  It's been more of a continual prop up disguised as a recovery for what will inevitably fail.  Buying up worthless paper instruments, mis-representing all factors of economic health, CPI, GDP, unemployment.  It's all a big lie. All of it.

Now when it goes bad, it will be really bad. They made it bad by artificially inflating and mis-representing everything.

Republican's in congress are all giddy playing with their peckers over the TPP, TiSA, TTiP, and TiSA that's due to finish off what's left of the country.

Obummer didn't do this on his now. Speaker of the house and senate were all chum as a vast majority of all republicans. They're pulling money out of medicare to pay for "retraining US workers who lose jobs". Sounds like a great deal America!!!

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/jun/29/boehner-mcconnell-skip-event-obama-sign-trade-bill/

Quote :
Mr. Boehner, who was leading a congressional delegation in Lithuania, said in a statement that TPA “will strengthen the hand of U.S. negotiators, allowing them to secure the best deal for American workers while maintaining new, rigorous standards of transparency and accountability.”

“This bill is a big win for American jobs and leadership, and I hope the president will continue to work with us to get more bipartisan, House-passed jobs bills signed into law,” Mr. Boehner said.

Mr. McConnell, speaking at a Sons of the American Revolution conference in Louisville, said the U.S. will benefit from the trade legislation, and the deal is an example of how partisan divides can be overcome to resolve a major issue.

The entire country has been hi-jacked.  Our country will be one of the shortest experiments in individual liberty and freedom since recorded history came to be.

There's no intention of paying for our debt.  The shat will fly.  Good thing for us we have the worlds strongest military and we're not afraid to use it.

The meme being pass around is we are likely to start a war, to fly cover and create patriotism, upon the financial collapse.

Just wait till staples run out, we'll get a real sense of "the greatest country in the world" BS when that occurs.  Just watch the people and how they act.

I recall the US citizen is mostly on the hook so at least that debit will need to be repaid otherwise social security, pensions (private and military), investments, insurance companies, finance companies, state and local governments will sink.

Here's an interesting graphical breakdown of the US debt owed:

We're insolvent, only thing keeping us afloat is the Federal Reserve having unlimited printing. In the end the entire shooting match will sink.

The debt ceiling was maxed over 90 days ago. Supposedly they've been using extraordinary measures, not funding federal pensions and putting a moratorium on state and municipality bond programs.

At this point, it will sink. Just when.

With the wealth that has left the country, fewer people participating in the workforce than at anytime in our history, more people dependent on government social programs, the bulk heads are filling.

The financial world has many dark secrets. The world debt clock is an eye-opener.

Puerto Rico is crashing under a 150% debt to GDP.
The US's 74% debt to GDP is a slippery slope.
Japan's 230% debt to GDP is insane.
Greece's 173% debt to GDP was only managed with EU and IMF assistance.
The EU looks like the walking dead with Italy's 136%, Portugal's 130%, and Ireland's 127%.
China's 23% debt to GDP is relatively good but they have too many bad loans, needs for societal evolution, pollution, shortage of basic materials, etc.

With all this crushing debt world wide, expect a world wide war to break out.

When the economy fails on a global scale, the globe puts people to work killing each other and manufacturing jobs and ways to do just that.

Once again, the super elite will pit the poor against the poor and come out of it all smelling like a rose.

History repeats for those too ignorant to learn from history's past. The founders used thousands of years of history to construct the foundation of our Constitutional Republic. The founders gave us one hell of a country, however by the mid to late 1800's it seems pieces of dismantling creep in and have now hog gone wild.

I don't believe the next war will be fought by the military. It will be based on who holds the gold and who can hack into the others computers the quickest. Why invade a country when you have the power to shut down power grids and other utilities? Most of this country is on a (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) SCADA. Water, electric, natural gas etc.... are all computer controlled. Hack into one of these systems and you shut down in infrastructure. It has already been proven that most utilities firewalls are easily hacked and controlled from another location. I've been in meetings where this is a big concern.

We have the biggest military in the world, and we love using it. Every problem to government looks like a nail, we have a hammer.

Why invade a country?  Military industrial complex makes a lot of money, hundreds of billions annually.  Bombs, missiles, tanks, choppers, ships, planes. War is profitable.  With peace, the profits dwindle.  The Neo-cons were crying when we didn't go into Syria, stay in Iraq, plan B they keep hyping Iran and Russia.  Hillary and crew's efforts were finally successful in enabling ISIS, getting them prime news coverage and a new wave of, "terror, terror, terror".  The ever evolving, constantly changing boogie man.

Plus we don't really want to fight a war, a "real war".  You know countries that actually have a capability to fight with might.  When we loose an entire ship, an entire surface battle group is missing, the American people may rethink their zealousness for all war all the time.  Unfortunately it takes a lot of people dying to make our citizenry really think about anything these days.

Add to that, war of any kind with the such focused country that the media keeps promoting.  A country that the same nuclear threat as the US.  We're going to roll the dice on this?  We're insane.  Reagan got us into a pretty good relationship with Russia, he actually talked with them.  The war criminal W even as goofy as he is, had a maintained a decent relationship.  We had a real opportunity to work with the Russian's.  But no, the US is constantly searching for new enemies so that funding for our war machine is consistent.  Our current crew and likely crew to run our show is @ss nutz crazy.

When we go around the world looking for monsters to slay, there is no limit to the monsters we’ll find.

Found this interesting. While China has about one million more military personnel than the States, the U.S. beats it in every other category except for tanks. Check out the special notes. Quite the budget.

We love spreading democracy, one bomb at a time.

The budget number for the US only refers to the DoD budget in silo, referred as 21% of total budget spend.  The reality is our military and security spend has been hovering around $1.6 trillion annually.  Putting that into perspective, we collect $2.2 to $2.6 trillion in tax revenues annually.  Our government performs a shell game to hide cost of our war machine across multiple budgets and departments. In total around 64% of all tax revenue on military and security.  Department of Veteran affairs has a budget of $167 billion.  Military disability comes out of social security revenues.   The DoE has the budget item for the nuclear arsenal, operations, maintenance, and development.  The State Department contacts private security mercenaries. Then they have Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) off budget spending for the DoD, in 2015 this was $54 billion.  The State Department had an OCO for around $6 billion.  Previously the Iraq and Afghanistan wars each had budget items into themselves in the tens of billions each annually. The intelligence agencies are under DHS for 2015 $39 billion, the CIA operates much of the drone program with some informal use of Air Force drone pilots.

In actual the US spends more on military and security than the next 100 countries combined.

Also we shouldn't forget to mention "foreign aid" which usually 50% or more is a contract to use the aid, buying military gear from the US military industrial complex.  $22.3 billion for 2015.  USAID handing out rice is a cover.  Cuba has 50 USAID "workers" in prison currently for attempting to subvert and create a coup to overthrow the Cuban government.  Wonder why this isn't plastered all over TV?  Cause the operation might actually get some media attention and clue some into our true intent.

Israel alone it amounts to $3.5 billion last year.  Think of this as a US proxy effort.  Though the there's much dishonesty brokered, at the same time power struggles as Israel seems to proxy their desires and policies through influence in US government.

Some think it was China attempting to bring down a US market and offload attention to their ongoing debacle.

CNBC made a big deal about it trying to do blow by blow, minute by minute coverage. Fortunately the NYSE is relatively insignificant and other exchanges sold NYSE stocks.
