I have a feeling he died a whilw back and the current powers-to-be prefer he be left a mystery than to show how little they did to get him back.

Expendable.  Government by acknowledging his capture will be admitting to spying and attempting to subvert or institute some shenanigans with the Iranians.

Just like the two Navy small fast attack boats that were captured by Iran.  Government wanted no part of it.  The first truth told was mechanical issues.  That turned out to not be true.  When the first lie doesn't work, try again.  Now we're told it was a GPS issue.  All crew surrenders their arms and their ships BS.  Little is known about the sailors aboard their rank, units, and assignments and what other agencies the mission was coordinated.  The truth just like other instances will likely never be known unless Hilary gets that email server fired up again.

Just like the US-AID worker in Cuba who was caught bringing in communications and infrastructure to subvert Cuba.  The US government will say nothing or say just the bare minimum to distract the US media to "bigger stories"  Squirrel?

Those Navy boats were delivering someone to Iran. That's what was happening. Who was delivered and what role does he play is the question.

Compare the non-shalant way this story was handled.  Now for a moment imagine if it was the Iranians landing craft on our shores with some black-ops mission.   It would be an international incident of the decade.

Do as we say, not as we do.  USA USA USA.

US doesn't want allies, it wants followers as it builds it's empire and world dominance.  If you don't want to be a follower and go along with US foreign policy and empire building, bombs from high above are in your future.

Our military is a hammer and every problem looks like a nail. The US is pretty unique in the world where war is very profitable for those connected. Thus we have never ending war and always looking for ways to expand the theater. Different story, different day, different boogie man.

We have a military that wants things run the right way but stand by the law and don't go against their own government.
We have a POTUS that seems hell bent on ruining our relationships with every country on earth.
We give Iran their money back so they can finish their nuke and attack Israel.
