http://news.yahoo.com/us-charges-iowa-widow-over-she-deposited-husbands-190710409.html

Privacy in this country has vanished.

On a personal note, while transferring an IRA account from one entity to another, stamped several times I find US Patriot Act and paragraphs of language letting me know they are keeping us safe by taking my identity and and financial information and analyzing it to prevent money laundering connected to terrorism.  It appears so many times on these forms you'd think they were marketing a product.  Yet while I type this WF, HSBC, CG, BOA, and others ARE actually laundering billions of dollars, of which the government knows about, lets happen, then later files suit with a laundry list of charges. A suit was just settled where the DOJ accepted $30+ billion. This money never makes it back to the US Treasury. It instead gets used on pet projects and the discretion to fund secret secret projects like Fast and Furious. Or a $5 million dollar study to a friend, neighbor, or a government contract to a known associate. Yet people complain about the Grammy's.

Country appears to be lost, without hopes of recovery. If the people let it go this far, how much further will they let it go?

Money is no longer real, and it is no longer yours. Any attempt at getting to your money will result in it being confiscated by the government.

http://news.investors.com/ibd-editorials/021015-738778-congress-gets-around-to-looking-into-holders-bank-heist.htm

Timing is everything.  The expectation that the DOJ will look into the use of where and how the DOJ used and distributed these funds laughable at best.  First question should be why didn't these funds make it back to the treasury.  The DOJ doesn't or should have appropriation authority, that's Congress. They use it like a slush fund.

Paper money will be useless, and even if you keep cash and gold/silver in a safe deposit box you will be screwed when the government closes the banks and you can't get to it.

The term is "bank holiday". The legal framework without Glass-Steagall is now the investment side of the bank and the commercial side are one in the same. Customers on the commercial side are treated as creditors. Thus if the bank goes under, a depositor has the very real reality of getting only a portion, or none at all of their original deposits back.

Trial runs of this occurred in Cyprus, and here in the US with MF Global with former CEO of Goldman Sachs, and former NJ governor John Corzine at the helm, Obama's buddy and fund razor. He testified he has no idea where the money went.

MF Global consumed around $1.2 billion in customer account funds. $1.2 billion just disappeared. So far no one has gone to jail, no charges, and Corzine continues to fund raise for Obama.

The American people response? They are miffed at the Grammy results.

We hold news readers liable for lying about nothing, and excuse politicians from lies that directly effect each and every one of us.

And get more pissed that Kayne is still an asshole while Obama is dry humping us into oblivion.

Williams is in the process of getting tossed for lying.  Yet Hillary lied about being under sniper fire in Bosnia when she landed at the airport.  Yet she's top of the crop for the Presidency at this time.  Amazing what American's get fake concerned about?  Grammy's, deflate gate, Kayne, but on real things that matter?  No idea or clue.  Most of them couldn't find their home state on a map, much less Iraq, Syria, Yemen.

Two different standards?  Yes.  American people ignorant much?  Yes unfortunately.

As long as people get their new phones and the internet isn't down, they couldn't care less about the rest of the planet. I laughed when you said people couldn't find their home state much less one country in the Middle East. Then I realized you were absolutely right. I would bet my paycheck on 9 out of 10 couldn't find their home state. 99 out of 100 on naming a Middle Eastern country.

Congress has failed in its duties. It has given and through inaction, allowed the presidency to gain too much power. Republican Congresses have given Republican presidents shelter to go beyond their Constitutional authority and the same Democrats and Democratic presidents. And when any of that power is attempted to be clawed back as is seemingly attempted now, the other party blocks it.

If Congress doesn't pass a climate bill or regulate vehicle mileage standards to the presidents liking, he uses his phone to call the EPA. He doesn't like the immigration laws, he just willingly neglects his duties and uses his pen to sign a Presidential Order or a Presidential memorandum and gives millions of illegals defacto amnesty. Congress wont give into his spending habits then he orders the Treasury Secretary to use "extraordinary measures" to keep the govt funded. By that he digs into the govt employees' retirement accounts and "borrows" the money and when a bill is passed(or for Democrats and Continuing Resolution bc they couldn't follow the law and pass a budget) then its as if that never happened. I keep wondering, when a govt shutdown happens bc of a lack of funding and 9 out of 10 employees are deemed too important to furlough, where does that money come from? They never mention "extraordinary measures" being used to pay those employees but if no more debt can be sold then how are they being paid?

Our current govt is so overblown and so into our lives we have the illusion of freedom. So many laws and so many depts. doing so many things even the govt cant figure out what it doesn and doesn't do anymore. And no one ever wants to fix any of it. Band-aid here, new law here, cover up and forget this ever happened....The Land of the Ignorant and the Home of the Delusional.

I'll take you up on that bet.  Wink Although it would be high, 9 out of 10 not being able to find their home state on a map is too high. 99 out of a 100 not being able to name a Middle Eastern country is also to high. While the masses are pretty stupid in regards to what is going on in the world, I think a cross section poll would show it closer to 50% not knowing the location of their state and I would give the same percentage of people knowing a Middle Eastern country.

If you ever watch Waters World on the O'Reilly Factor you will see how stupid people in America really are. I guess my fascination with world events makes me think others would want to know what is going on around the world, but you are probably close to how many people couldn't name a Mid East country.

I watch it on a rare occasion. Actually tonight was one of those occasions. Kanye and Ferguson were the topics. Thought it was just Kanye being Kanye and clueless over Ferguson STILL.

Bill just likes to hear himself talk. Invite a guest on, then talk right over them.

Here's a guy that asks questions the media should be pounding doors down about ->

One of my favorite Waters World was when he went to Plymouth MA. and asked where the pilgrims landed. Most knew around 65%, but living in a town with the namesake you have to be pretty stupid or slept through years of history not to know that. In many of his shows, I do find that a lot of immigrants actually know a lot about America.

I really like Trey Gowdy. I was excited when he got picked to headup the select committee on Bengazi. He is fair and will go after the facts no matter where they lead. Unfortunately I don't think he will get enough support from the Rep leadership and blocked at every turn by the Dems and WH.

If he gets too close, he'll get disappeared, especially if a Clinton is in the crosshairs.

Odd how 2 big time journalists died one day apart in NYC this week. One right after interviewing Snowden. Might not be anything, but it seems a tad out of the ordinary to me.

Pilgrims were shooting for the Virginia colony but storms put them off course. They landed at what is now Provincetown, and running low on beer decided to set up shop near there. My wife from Mass was not taught this in school and was appalled when I showed her the truth. Apparently Ptown is limp wristed.

Oh how the truth hurts. And even that fee is partially a fee to pay for other stuff not associated with healthcare. The more you know the more you want government out of your life.

Just watched Stossel and as I have seen before, people protesting or showing up to award shows wearing a Che shirt because he was a "revolutionary" figure. OK? But beyond that they don't know shit. He was also a mass murdering power hungry tyrant. But he makes a great symbol for fighting for labor rights for a teacher union or just to look cool at an awards show like Santana did. So sad and just plain ignorant.

Sort of like how Andrew Breitbart ended up dead right before releasing something that was going to end the presidents run with something from his past.

Michael Hastings who was working on something big with the FBI investigating him and his reporting.  Days before Michael talked about going off the radar with close friends.

Barry Jennings, the Deputy Director of the Emergency Services Department for the New York City Housing Authority was in WTC7 with another gentleman Michael Hess.  He stated explosions inside WTC7 and bodies, although the official account has it no one died in WTC7.  Hess corroborated Jenkins story.  Barry was threatened with his job for talking on national news and was also threatened for having an interview in the documentary "Loose Change".  Barry ends up dead two days before the NIST report on WTC7 was released.  Barry was never interviewed by the 911 commission or any criminal investigators.

Ran across of acquaintances of the Clinton's a while back of dead people.  There were like 40 or more.  These were people who had some personal or professional contact both cordial and some not so. We're not talking people dying of natural causes here.
