| I like the size, power and economy from this unit. I will not guinea pig a new design again. I am just under 70k miles on my '1o and the wife says I'm keeping it.
Happy wife, happy life.
I will keep it for another 100k plus miles... 4 years. The 3.0l will have time to prove itself.

| I plan to test drive it when it comes out. I might be game for a 1500 diesel. I hope it's smartly priced. | |

| That's a decent price! IF they make a Jeep truck with that engine I will have to take a serious look/test drive. | |

| Yes, $2300 is a fair premium. And a Jeep pickup would be nice. | |

| I had my doubts but comparing specs to Cummins 4 cyl 2.8L diesel the Ram 1500 could be 30+mpg hwy.
Cummins 2.8L: 220hp 380 ftlbs 34mpg hwy (Per Dept of Energy)
VM Motori 3.0L 240hp 420ftlbs ?mpg hwy

| It would be nice to see all the brands come out with a 1/2 ton diesel. | |

| I am interested to see how the actual numbers play out with this thing. Of course they need to be able to build them first. Right now they have a lot of labor and quality issues. | |

VM Motori 3.0L 240hp 420ftlbs ?mpg hwy That 4 cylinder Cummins will have a lot more vibration to tame than the V6

| If the take rate is high enough on the Ram diesel you can bet everyone else will have something available within a model year or two. But would Ford be stepping on its own feet with the EB if they put a small diesel in the half ton? | |

| The price points of the engine options would determine if a small Diesel would step on the EB IMO.
Also might depend if the EB design and tooling is paid off by the time a small Diesel is released.

And on that note, when are we gonna get MPG numbers on diesel car and truck window stickers? Note to everyone, if they are there now that just goes to show how long its been since I was truck shopping.
