For the Wrangler
2.5" lift on the way 1251000_v1_01132011_1
We don't do crazy rock crawling or off roading but we did do the Alpine Loop in Colorado this year. Scrapped bottom once.

Putting this Teraflex 2.5" coil lift on for starters. It will allow us to run larger tires down the road also.

Nice!
Since it is so new, and southern rust free, will make the install easy.

2.5" will be a nice moderate lift without looking like a toy.

For what ever reason I tend to like Jeep stances that have tires and wheel well relationships that aren't on two different zip codes. Some I see running around just look way over done IMHO. Lift it, put a tire on it to fill it. Old school novel concept I guess.

What's the bracket that has the ubolt attached? Relocate the pan hard rod or something? Assuming it clamps around the rear axle?

It's to realign the rear track bar, that pic isn't 100% correct. My kit comes with the bracket for the frame side, not the axle side.

Going to pick up an adjustable track bar for the front end.

Put anti-seize on the bolts and torque everything. Recheck occasionally to make sure nothing loosened up. Worked on a guys TJ with a lift and had a heck of a time with loose front track bar bolts that washed out the holes in the axle brackets, rear track bar axle extension came loose. Bolts froze up in the trapped nuts and spun inside stripping the tab out, makes for fun!

2.5" lift on the way Sidebyside

Guy with same lift I'm putting on, with same stock rims/tires.

I've also ordered a shoulder bolt upgrade kit to take out some of the slop with the stock fully threaded suspension bolts. Apparently, the fully threaded ones eat out the bushings and cause premature wear.

When you get the bolts post some pics, I'd be interested in seeing them. Wonder if they are true shoulder bolts or just custom shank length. Reason being a true shoulder bolt has a smaller diameter thread which should require lower torque values.

Examples, 1/2" shoulder bolt has 3/8 thread, 3/4 shoulder bolt has 1/2 or 5/8" threads etc.

Ok, standard bolts made to custom length by the looks of it.
Here is a pic of a true should bolt, notice the smaller diameter thread vs the body of the bolt.

When these stockers wear out. I'll go with some 33's on there.

Anything bigger than that is for looks and the well being of Exxon.

We are eventually going to upgrade the bumpers and install a winch.
This thing makes owning a Harley look cheap.

It's like an AR-15, the Barbie doll of guns. There are so many accessories you can add to them, the spending gets out of control.
In your case it's money well spent. That is one good lucking jeep, and you use it the way a jeep should be used.
Here, the older Cherokee models that the kids fix up and raise to go mudding in the woods. Every junk yard has the axels and transmissions for those jeeps. The more mud on the truck, the better they look.
